Cornwall hotel tax extended six years
Effective immediately, the Town of Cornwall (Orange County, NY) keeps its local hotel and motel occupancy tax authority for six years. This replaces the old three-year limit. Hotel and motel operators continue to collect the tax from guests and send it to the town. Rates, collection rules, and how the town may use the money do not change. Guests paying for stays in Cornwall owe this local tax while it is in effect.
