Sag Harbor fire tax funds support firefighters

For taxes due on premiums received on or after January 1, 2027, the association must use fire insurance tax money it collects, and its share of a related tax, only for purposes listed in the law. These include maintaining its headquarters, helping disabled or indigent volunteer firefighters and their families, and supporting the volunteer fire service.
