Erie County private bond sales extended

Effective immediately, Erie County’s private-sale authority covers serial bonds or notes issued on or before June 30, 2026. This extends the prior June 30, 2025, deadline by one year. The county can use private sales despite legal limits on private bond sales. The New York State Comptroller must still approve the sale’s terms and conditions. The law adds no funding or direct household payment.
