Jamesville-DeWitt parks leased with equal access

The law lets the Jamesville-DeWitt school district lease certain parkland to the Town of Onondaga. Leases must be at fair market value and last no more than 30 years. The town must keep the parks open to the public, including all district residents. It cannot charge district residents higher fees than town residents. If access is limited, the town must use a fair way to assign use. Lease money must pay for buying new parkland or for capital improvements, not general school costs. The town must maintain and run the facilities. If park use stops, the lease ends and the land returns to the district for park use.
