Looser residency, first assistant public defender excluded

The law lets Warren County appoint assistant district attorneys, assistant public defenders, and assistant county attorneys who live outside the county. They can live in any New York county that borders Warren County. The first assistant public defender is excluded and must live in Warren County. This change only applies to Warren County; other counties keep their own residency rules unless state law says otherwise. The law takes effect immediately.
