Wallkill hotel tax authority extended to 2027

The law extends the Town of Wallkill’s power to adopt a hotel or motel tax of up to 5%. It takes effect immediately and ends on September 1, 2027. The law does not itself set the tax rate. If the town adopts it, hotels and motels in Wallkill will add the tax to guests’ bills.
