Hotel taxes can continue in Greenburgh area

The law extends the power for the Town of Greenburgh and certain villages in Greenburgh and Mount Pleasant to pass a hotel or motel occupancy tax. It takes effect immediately and ends on September 1, 2027. No tax applies unless a local law is adopted. If you stay in a taxed hotel or motel there, you pay the added occupancy tax during this period. The law does not change tax rates, what is taxed, or exemptions.
