Karol Hughes can take police officer exam

Effective immediately, Karol Hughes can take the competitive police officer civil service exam despite the usual age requirements. This exception requires continuous employment as a part-time officer for the town/village of East Rochester in Monroe County. A qualifying score makes Hughes eligible for the list used to appoint full-time East Rochester police officers. Placement on that list does not guarantee a job. All other civil service merit and fitness requirements still apply.
