In-state tuition for Team USA athletes

Beginning July 1 of the year after enactment, SUNY and CUNY charge eligible non-resident Team USA athletes the in-state rate for tuition and fees. To qualify, the student must be enrolled at SUNY or CUNY, meet Team USA and national governing body standards, and train in New York in an elite program approved by the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee. The lower rate applies to tuition and fees only, not housing, meals, or other costs. The rate is available only when the state appropriates funding for this program.
