Nine-year extension for black car injury fund

The law takes effect immediately. It replaces a six-year expiration with a nine-year expiration for the rules that govern the New York Black Car Operators’ Injury Compensation Fund. This keeps the Fund’s protections and requirements in place for three more years than before. The amended provisions end nine years after the effective date unless a future law extends them. This mainly affects covered black car operators and the Fund.
