The law keeps current income and resource exemptions for public assistance programs. They remain in effect through August 22, 2027. It does not change what counts as exempt; it only extends the end date. The law takes effect immediately. If enacted on or after August 22, 2025, it is treated as in force on and after August 22, 2025.
