State program staff can do applied behavior analysis

If you work for a New York program run, licensed, or funded by the Office for People With Developmental Disabilities, the Office of Children and Family Services, or the Office of Mental Health, you can perform applied behavior analysis (ABA) duties as part of your job. You may do these duties only while employed or retained by that program. This does not let you use any protected professional title under Education Law Article 167 unless you are licensed. This authority lasts through July 1, 2030. The law takes effect immediately.
