Joint defendants share jury strikes

This law takes effect immediately. When two or more defendants are tried together, they count as one party for jury strikes. The number of peremptory strikes is not multiplied by the number of defendants. A strike is allowed if most defendants join it, or if there is a tie with an even number. Each party gets three peremptory challenges.
