Split shifts for poll workers with safeguards

County boards can schedule election inspectors and poll clerks in split, part‑day shifts with adjusted pay. Each polling place must have at least one inspector and one poll clerk from each of the two major parties present the entire time polls are open. County boards must set rules and procedures so polling places run properly. The law takes effect immediately.
