Warren mortgage tax funds community colleges

Mortgage recording tax money for Warren County goes to the county treasurer to support community colleges. The funds must pay community college costs under Education Law article 126. This rule starts now and ends on December 1, 2027.

Extra mortgage tax in Warren County continues

The law keeps Warren County’s extra mortgage recording tax in place through December 1, 2027. If you record a mortgage in Warren County, you continue to pay this added local tax. The law takes effect immediately.
