Seneca County is authorized to keep an extra 1% local sales and use tax, on top of its 3% base local rate (up to 4% total for the county). This authority runs from December 1, 2002 through November 30, 2027. If the county imposes it, you pay one cent more per dollar on taxable purchases made in the county.
