Steuben borrowers keep paying mortgage tax

If you record a mortgage in Steuben County, you still pay the county mortgage recording tax. The law extends the expiration date to December 1, 2027. The law is in effect now, and the extension begins 30 days after it became law. It does not change the tax rate or how the tax is figured.
