Tioga County’s extra sales tax authority extended

Effective immediately, the law extends Tioga County’s extra 1% sales and use tax authority from November 30, 2025, through November 30, 2027. The extra tax brings the county rate to 4%, including its unchanged 3% base rate. It applies only when the county adopts or amends a local law, ordinance, or resolution imposing it. On taxable purchases subject to the extra tax, shoppers pay $1 more per $100 spent.
