Thoroughbred fund law gets three more years
The law extends New York’s Thoroughbred Breeding and Development Fund Act by three years. It now expires 17 years after Aqueduct racetrack’s video lottery facility begins operating, rather than 14 years after. The Fund’s chair must notify the Legislative Bill Drafting Commission when operations begin so official law records stay current. The law takes effect immediately and requires any needed rule changes by that effective date. It creates no new funding or direct household payments.
