Vacancy rules for villages with November elections

This law covers villages that hold village elections on the same day as the November general election under Election Law 15-104. When an elective village office becomes vacant in these villages, officials must use the state vacancy process in Public Officers Law 42(1). This replaces any different village-specific method. The law takes effect immediately.
