Workers keep pay during safety inspections

The law bars employers from cutting an employee’s wages for taking part in workplace violence safety oversight. Your pay cannot be reduced if you accompany the Labor Commissioner on an inspection. Your pay also cannot be reduced if you join a risk evaluation and determination inspection or the annual review of the workplace violence program. The law takes effect immediately.
