Effective immediately, the law extends Sullivan County’s local sales and use tax authority through November 30, 2027. It allows a 3% rate plus two additional 0.5% amounts, totaling 4% in county tax. The county must adopt or amend local tax rules to impose these rates. This law extends existing authority; it does not itself raise taxes. These taxes apply to taxable purchases in Sullivan County.
