The village of Skaneateles keeps its lodging occupancy tax in place through December 31, 2027. The law takes effect immediately and applies to lodging contracts signed on or after that date. Travelers who book rooms or short-term rentals will keep paying this local tax. Local lodging businesses must keep collecting and sending in the tax. The law does not change tax rates or exemptions.
