Skaneateles lodging tax authority extended through 2027

The law extends the Village of Skaneateles’ lodging tax authority beyond its former 2025 expiration. That authority now expires on December 31, 2027, when the authorizing provisions are repealed. The law takes effect immediately and applies to contracts entered into on or after its effective date. Lodging customers may pay the tax if the Village imposes it. The law does not change the tax rate, what lodging is taxed, or how the tax is collected.
