Extra 1% sales tax in Fulton County

The law authorizes Fulton County to impose an extra 1% sales and use tax on top of the county’s 3% rate. This authority applies from September 1, 2005 through November 30, 2027. The county must pass a local law to collect it. When in effect, sellers collect the extra 1% on taxable sales made in the county, and you pay it at checkout.
