Allegany County extra 1.5% sales tax extended

The law authorizes Allegany County to impose an extra 1.5% sales and use tax through November 30, 2027. When the county has a local law in place, shoppers pay the extra 1.5% on taxable purchases, on top of the 3% local rate.
