This law keeps the Town of Goshen’s hotel and motel tax in place for a limited time. The authority takes effect now and ends 2 to 4 years after that date, unless lawmakers extend it. The law does not change the tax rate, who the tax applies to, or how it is collected. Hotel and motel owners in Goshen must keep charging and sending in the tax during this period. Guests continue to see the tax on their bills until the authority expires.
