Cattaraugus homebuyers pay extra mortgage tax through 2027

Cattaraugus County can keep charging an extra mortgage recording tax. The law takes effect immediately and lasts until December 1, 2027. The tax rate and rules do not change. You pay this added tax when you record a new mortgage or a refinance in the county.
