Hamilton County’s extra sales tax authority extended

Effective immediately, the law extends Hamilton County’s extra 1% sales and use tax authority through November 30, 2027. The previous end date was November 30, 2025. The extra tax brings the authorized local rate from 3% to 4%. It applies only if the county adopts or amends a local law, ordinance, or resolution imposing it. The state law does not itself impose the tax.
