Oswego County extra sales tax authority extended

The law extends Oswego County’s extra sales and use tax authority from November 30, 2025, through November 30, 2027. The county can keep charging 1 percentage point above its 3% base rate, for a maximum county rate of 4%. The county must adopt or amend local laws, ordinances, or resolutions to impose the tax. This extends existing authority rather than automatically raising the tax rate. The law takes effect immediately upon enactment.
