More residency options for Yates County attorneys

Yates County assistant district attorneys and assistant public defenders can now live in Chemung County while holding office. They can also live in Yates County or an adjoining New York county. The first assistant district attorney remains subject to the prior residency rules. Assistant public defenders must be admitted to practice in New York courts of record. The law took effect immediately.
