Putnam finance commissioner gets broader residency options
Qualified people can serve as Putnam County’s finance commissioner while living in Putnam or an adjoining New York county. Finance commissioners in other counties must still live in their own county unless another law allows otherwise. The change took effect immediately upon enactment. It creates no direct household payment or benefit.
