Putnam County attorney can live nearby
The law allows Putnam County’s attorney to live in a neighboring county within New York State. The person must be admitted to practice law in New York courts of record. County attorneys elsewhere still must live in their own county unless another law allows otherwise. This change took effect immediately upon enactment.
