2 provisions identified: 0 benefits, 0 costs, 2 mixed.

New insurance proof for property access

When you or your contractor enter a neighbor’s property to do work, you must give proof of commercial liability insurance. The papers must let the neighbor, and any lessees the neighbor named to you, file a third‑party claim if there is damage. This replaces the old rule that required naming the neighbor and lessees as additional insureds on your policy.

More state agencies under property access law

The law broadens who counts as a state entity under New York’s adjoining property access rules. It now covers any state department, division, agency, office, public authority, or public benefit corporation, and their affiliates or subsidiaries. More state bodies can request access to neighboring property to make repairs or improvements.
