Harriet Tubman scenic byway designated
New York adds the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad scenic byway to the state scenic byways system. It covers set road segments linking Auburn, Tyre, Geneva, Lyons, Rochester, Lockport, Amherst, Buffalo, and Niagara Falls. If you live, visit, or run a business on these roads, your corridor is now an official state scenic byway. The New York State Department of Transportation and local governments manage it under scenic byway rules. The law takes effect immediately. It does not create new funding, fees, or taxes.
