Grades 3-8 tests at year-end

Beginning with the 2026–2027 school year, public schools give statewide tests for grades 3–8 in the last four weeks of school. The rule takes effect July 1, 2026. It applies to the statewide assessments and to the districts and vendors that run them. Alternate assessments for students with the most significant cognitive disabilities are not required to use this late-window schedule.
