Beginning November 1, 2026, the Health Department gives grants from state funds to support pregnancy and new parents in Oklahoma. Grants go to Oklahoma nonprofits or supervising groups that reimburse local providers. Covered help includes medical care and ultrasounds, mental health and addiction care, and nutrition support. It also covers housing and transport help, adoption, job and education help, parenting support, outreach, telecare, and care for mothers and infants up to three years after birth. The law sets a goal to cut maternal and infant deaths by 3% by July 1, 2026. When giving outreach or counseling, providers must give accurate information on unborn child development and offer the required printed materials. A supervising group or the Health Department must approve each grant amount.
Starting November 1, 2026, only Oklahoma not-for-profit corporations registered in the state can get these grants. Grants cannot go to any group that provides abortions, or whose affiliates do. Funded groups cannot encourage, counsel, refer for, or provide abortions, unless needed to prevent the woman’s death. Grant money can only be used to help women carry to term, help them succeed after, or reduce maternal and infant deaths.
