Tourism businesses: conference contracts and fees

The Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department runs a yearly statewide tourism conference. It can partner with private firms under fair, reasonable contracts up to $75,000 each that follow state purchasing rules. Attendees and exhibitors can be charged registration and booth fees, but only to cover conference costs. All fees and donations go to a special agency account and can be spent only on conference needs with the Commission Executive Director’s approval. This law takes effect immediately upon passage and approval.
