Residency required for veteran burial aid

Beginning November 1, 2026, the deceased veteran must have been an Oklahoma resident to get the state burial grant (up to $1,000). If the veteran was buried, the applicant must provide proof that an appropriate casket was used. If the veteran was not an Oklahoma resident, the state does not reimburse burial or cremation costs.
