Providers must report alpha-gal syndrome cases

The law adds alpha-gal syndrome to the state’s list of reportable diseases. Starting November 1, 2026, health care providers and clinical labs must report diagnosed or detected cases to the Oklahoma State Department of Health, following rules set by the Health Commissioner. Failing to report is a misdemeanor under Oklahoma public health law. This helps officials track and respond to cases.
