Tennessee law treats every garnishment as an original garnishment for service fees. Sheriffs and other authorized servers are entitled to the existing fee for each garnishment they serve. They can require payment before serving it. The law does not state the fee amount or identify who must pay it. These rules took effect when the act became law.
