The Tennessee Division of Property Assessments now supervises and directs all property reappraisals and revaluation programs statewide. This takes effect immediately. Your home’s assessed value may change as reviews follow statewide direction. That can raise or lower your property tax bill. Renters may feel changes if landlords pass costs on. The law does not set new tax rates or valuation formulas.
