New court venues for nonprofit dissolutions

The law changes where courts can hear cases to dissolve a nonprofit. If the Attorney General files, the case can be in the county of the principal or registered office; any Tennessee county where the nonprofit did any activity if it has no in‑state principal office (including asking for donations or doing business); a county where the Attorney General has an office; or Davidson, Sumner, or Williamson counties. If another allowed party files, the case is in the county of the current or last principal office, or, if there is no in‑state principal office, in the county of the registered office. These rules take effect immediately.
