School and local boards must meet publicly

The law adds school district boards and other local governing bodies to Tennessee’s open meetings rules. If a local board can make binding decisions or spend public money, its meetings must be open to the public. You can attend these meetings and see how votes and funding choices are made. The law takes effect immediately.
