The Tennessee Department of Human Services runs the state child support payment center. The department must set up, advertise, and keep a customer service unit. It must take questions and complaints about child support collections and payments. If the department hires a contractor, the contractor must also run this customer service unit. This law takes effect immediately.
The law deletes Tennessee Code Annotated Section 36-5-119. That section’s rules are no longer in effect. If you relied on that section, your rights or duties may change. This law takes effect immediately.
