More privacy for bank details in Tennessee

Effective upon becoming law, Tennessee expands which bank details in state government records must stay confidential. Protected details include debit card numbers and related PINs or authorization codes, plus bank account and routing numbers. The law also protects financial institution names and locations, and names, taxpayer identification numbers, and addresses linked to accounts. This list does not limit which bank details must stay confidential.
