Utah limits special highway signs
Beginning May 6, 2026, special-designation signs on Utah state highways must meet state transportation standards and specifications. No more than two signs may be installed, one for each direction of travel. State General Fund appropriations or private donations and gifts pay for making, installing, and maintaining the signs. Private money must be managed under applicable law and department policy. The law sets no total cost or funding amount.
