Charter school priority expands for local kids

Beginning July 1, 2026, Utah charter schools may give some local students priority for enrollment. Students must live within the boundaries of a political subdivision that contains the charter school. Their school of residence must be at capacity. Schools choose whether to offer this preference, and it does not guarantee a seat.
