Military skills count toward Utah professional licenses

Beginning May 6, 2026, Utah must credit qualifying military experience toward professional licenses regulated under Title 58. This helps veterans and service members who lack required training or education. Utah’s Division of Professional Licensing must decide whether military skills, experience, credentials, training, or education match the missing requirements. The division must consult with the Department of Veterans and Military Affairs and publish and update a public guide. This gives eligible applicants another way to meet licensing requirements.
