Effective July 1, 2025, Wyoming extends its manufacturing machinery sales and use tax exemptions. The exemptions now end December 31, 2042, instead of December 31, 2027. Businesses pay no sales or use tax on qualifying machinery purchases or leases. Machinery must be used directly and mostly to make physical goods in Wyoming. The law also removes two former use tax exemption conditions to align the sales and use tax exemptions.
