New rules for private wildfire crews

Beginning July 1, 2025, Wyoming's state forester must set standards and rules for privately contracted wildfire services operating in Wyoming. This includes services insurers hire to prevent or put out fires on insured properties. The rules apply to service providers, not households. The law does not set a direct household payment or cost.
